Sometimes the Credosity installer just doesn't have a good day. Hey, we've all been there. And sometimes it's simply not getting along with your computer, Word or Outlook (e.g. Credosity is installed but keeps disappearing).
Thankfully, the Installer (we use WiX) creates a lengthy log file you can send to us so we can debug your particular environment.
Here's how to find the log files
1. On your PC, go to your 'Start' menu. It's in the lower left corner when you're on your Desktop.
2. Type in %TEMP% and press enter. Your PC will show you a folder with lots of temporary files. Please find the ones with a file name starting with 'Credosity'.They will be plain-old text files. They contain in-depth information about the environment that Credosity is installing into, and where there may be problems.
Note: %TEMP% is an environment variable that applications use to find out where to store their temporary files. It is different on everyone's computer. For instance, on mine it's:
Then, please send them to us!
Please either email these files to firstname.lastname@example.org OR put them in a new Dropbox or Google Drive folder and share the access link with us. We'll be able to use the information in the log files to work out what went wrong and fix it for you.
